Subsea safety isolation valve modules

Subsea safety isolation valve module being lifted into the air.

The main purpose of a subsea safety isolation valve (SSIV) module is to protect the platform and its personnel from unintended release of hydrocarbons. The SSIV has a fail-safe design and will close on loss of an active signal from the emergency shutdown (ESD) system. Depending on your project requirements, the SSIV is delivered according to Safety Integrity Level (SIL) 2 or 3.

The SSIV can be installed as a stand-alone module or as an integrated component with, for example, a riser base. It can be retrieved separately or installed as part of a pipeline or structure. EAB Engineering has the knowledge and expertise to execute engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) deliveries of SSIV modules.
